Sometimes a room doesn't need a complete overhaul, just a clear direction. For this makeover, we deliberately left the basic furniture—the sofa and shelves—in place and reimagined everything else with Paso a Paso products. The result: an Ibiza-style living room, warm, minimalist, and with materials that feel authentic.
We always start with the feeling in the room. The sofa remains the calming center, the shelves hold memories—both anchored. A soft landscape of natural tones emerges around them: linen cushions in sand and off-white, wood with a warm feel. Our handcrafted straw lamps set the tone: soft light, beautiful shadows, instantly adding depth. They are the heart of the look and bring that casual island feeling into the home.
A greater lightness comes through the textures. Ceramic vases with simple shapes, fine linen curtains that filter the daylight – everything is reduced yet sensual. We work with levels rather than mass: a low coffee table combination made of solid mango wood, on top of which are a few, carefully selected pieces. Nothing loud, just things you enjoy touching and using every day.
We lightened the load and curated the shelves. Books are sorted by color families, interspersed with natural stone objects, small bowls, and glass—enough space for each piece to shine. The Ibiza style is reflected in the neutral tones and relaxed composition, while the Bali style is reflected in the organic shapes, bamboo accents, and plenty of craftsmanship. Together, they create the understated "Mindful Home" look we love at Paso a Paso: clean, warm, and vibrant without kitsch.
Light is key. In addition to a ceiling light, a table lamp with a raffia shade complements the atmosphere—focused, not garish. This turns the evening into an invitation to slow down. During the day, the texture of the natural materials refracts the light and creates movement without making the room appear cluttered.
In the styling, we focus on a few colors: beige, cream, and lots of wood. This makes the room appear larger and gives the sofa renewed significance. Small accents—hand-knotted cushions, a simple wall piece—add character. Everything can be modified modularly without touching the foundation. That's precisely our approach: step by step (paso a paso) toward a home that lives with you.
Do you have a similar living room with a solid foundation? With straw lamps, linen, rattan, solid pine, and carefully selected decor, you can create that island feeling in your own. "Shop the Look" means a little, but the right thing. We're happy to advise you on which Paso a Paso pieces will add depth to your existing setup—from a jute rug to a statement lamp. This transforms a "pretty good" room into a space that breathes and is good for every day.
